A gift that sets the mood – the Baby Special 276 in Ruby Red
Some gifts make an immediate impact: set up, lit, and suddenly the room feels different. That is exactly what the Feuerhand Baby Special 276 storm lantern in Ruby Red can do. Its warm glow turns an ordinary moment into one you remember – whether in the garden, on the patio, or on the balcony.
The rich Ruby Red adds a festive, inviting touch to any space and makes the lantern a thoughtful gift for the people who matter to you. Manufactured in Germany since 1893, the Baby Special 276 is not a fleeting trend, but a companion for many years – with no electricity required, powered entirely by itself.
The set includes everything you need to get started right away: the storm lantern, high-quality Feuerhand lamp oil for up to 20 hours of warm light per fill, and the matching Ruby Red reflector shade. This makes the lantern twice as versatile: with the shade attached, the light is directed downward – warm and focused, ideal for the garden table or windowsill. Without the shade, the lantern shines openly in all directions, bathing the entire room in warm light. Two moods, one lantern – depending on the moment that feels right for you.
Whether as a thoughtful gift for family, a greeting for good friends, or the centerpiece of a cozy evening at home: with this set, you are not giving an object, but a moment.

"Die Laternen sind nicht umsonst schon so lange erfolgreich auf dem Markt. Sie machen einfach ein wunderschönes, ja magisches Licht und sorgen für ein wunderschönes Ambiente. Das einzige was ich bereue? Ich habe zu lange gezögert sie zu kaufen! Und ich denke auch das es bestimmt noch ein paar mehr werden. . ."
"weighs less than expected, paint scratches a bit too easily from the paddle used to lift the glass, top cap a little rattly. all minor and entirely superficial, otherwise excellent product."

Would you like to know everything about Baby Special 276? Here you’ll find the answers to the most frequently asked questions:
A kerosene lantern such as the Baby Special 276 runs on liquid fuel (kerosene) and provides independent lighting without any power source. It also features an open cold-air system that ensures a continuous supply of oxygen to the flame.
The cold-air system in your storm lantern uses a chimney and side supports to direct fresh air to the flame. The rising warm air then ensures an even, steady flame.
For the Baby Special 276, we recommend high-quality lamp oil with a high degree of fuel purity. Feuerhand lamp oil is ideally suited to the needs of your storm lantern and provides an odorless, low-soot burn. This prevents the glass chimney from becoming dirty and provides a maximum burn time of up to 20 hours.
The burn time of your Baby Special 276 storm lantern depends on the tank capacity. With a 300 ml tank filling, you can enjoy around 20 hours of continuous illumination.
To adjust the wick optimally, turn the rotary knob on the burner to adjust the wick length. The ideal wick length is approximately 1.5 to 2 cm to ensure an even flame.
Extinguishing the flame is very easy. There is a rotary knob on the side of your burner that you can use to adjust the wick height. To extinguish the flame, simply turn the lantern wick carefully into the burner until it is barely visible.
If your lantern is leaking oil, this may be due to an overfilled tank, movement while filled, or temperature fluctuations. Always follow the filling instructions in the user manual and avoid excessive movement. If oil continues to leak, please do not hesitate to contact our Feuerhand Support team.
Store your Baby Special 276 storm lantern in a dry place and ideally use the appropriate carrying bag to protect it from dust and dirt. Be sure to empty the tank after use to prevent oil from leaking.
To clean the glass and your storm lantern, carefully remove it by pulling the lifting ring on the chimney upward and folding out the glass. Removing the glass allows you to clean it thoroughly. You can find all other care instructions in the user manual.
