If you order your new Feuerhand products within Germany, your order ships free of charge for orders with a value of €40.00 or more after all discounts have been applied. For orders with a value under €40.00, we charge a shipping fee of €4.99.

We do our best to process your Feuerhand order at our location in Magdeburg as quickly as possible and get it ready for shipping. For deliveries within Germany, this takes approximately 1-4 business days after receipt of the order. Delivery times to other European and non-European countries vary and are listed in detail under Shipping & Delivery .

If your Feuerhand product is ever not to your satisfaction, please feel free to contact your Feuerhand retailer or us directly. We will be happy to assist you and work out how to resolve your issue as effectively as possible.

It is best to always send us your request by email to help@support.feuerhand.de and include your proof of purchase, order number, photos or videos of the product, and your complete contact details. Alternatively, you are also welcome to use our contact form.

You can be sure that we will process your message promptly. If it does take a little longer, this is because we are experiencing a high volume of inquiries in our service department, and we ask for your patience. Your satisfaction is our top priority, so we guarantee that we will be there for you and your request as quickly as possible.

We would be delighted to give you an insight into our production facility, as the traditional machines and skilled craftsmanship shape the quality of the hurricane lantern. Since 1989, the Feuerhand Baby Special 276 hurricane lantern has been manufactured as the sole model according to the original design principle as an open cold-air system.

Safety is always our top priority—not only when you use our products. With regard to the demand for factory tours, we unfortunately also have to carefully weigh the safety and insurance risks involved. We are therefore unable to offer public tours of the Feuerhand premises and production facilities.

The quality of Feuerhand products sets our brand apart. We only put products on the market that are flawless and meet the standard of A-grade goods. That’s why Feuerhand products are not sold directly from the factory. However, since 2014, the Feuerhand brand has been part of Petromax GmbH, so you can get a look at our product range at our location in Magdeburg.

In our Feuerhand showroom, you can browse, handle our products, take a close look at all the lantern colors, discover lanterns and matching accessories, and of course purchase all our products. During our opening hours (Mon - Thu: 9 - 17 | Fri: 9 - 15), we’re also happy to share our expertise and offer detailed product advice on site.

We value every old Feuerhand storm lantern because it reminds us how durable this self-sufficient light source is—one that we still produce today. Although this approach to sustainability inspires us time and again, keep your treasure for yourself. We only offer new products for sale and therefore do not purchase used lanterns.

If your lantern has a light film of oil on it or appears to be leaking in some places, it can often seem as though the storm lantern is defective or leaking. It is important to know that your storm lantern Baby Special 276 is an open system. It provides you with reliable, even light, particularly because of this open operating principle. This so-called cold-air system continuously supplies your storm lantern with oxygen. This keeps the flame alive and, thanks to its open design, your lantern produces a bright light. If your lantern feels oily in some places, this is not an indication that your storm lantern is defective. In most cases, you can easily fix this yourself. Possible causes of your lantern leaking may include:

- overfilling the tank
- too much movement and changing positions
- temperature fluctuations
- a wick that has been turned out too far

For your Feuerhand storm lantern, it is best to use a high-quality lamp oil with a high degree of fuel purity and no additives or fragrance. The right lamp oil not only prevents unpleasant odors, but also protects parts such as the glass chimney from soot buildup. Feuerhand Lamp Oil is ideally suited to your storm lantern. Since 1989, only the Baby Special 276 model has been produced at our storm lantern factory in northern Germany. Our replacement parts are also focused on the Baby Special 276. You can find replacement parts and accessories for this Feuerhand storm lantern, such as glass, burners, and wicks, in our shop.

The storm lantern is known and loved worldwide, but it originated in Germany. The Feuerhand storm lantern has been produced in Germany since 1893, and that is still the case today. At our production facility in northern Germany, the lantern model Baby Special 276 is still manufactured according to the same principle. Then as now, the Feuerhand lantern impresses with its outstanding quality and functionality, spreading its warm white light wherever people come together in a relaxed atmosphere.

Custom colors from the RAL color range are available for orders of 100 pieces or more. Tank and glass engravings can be commissioned for orders of 10 pieces or more. As of August 1, 2026, we have adjusted the prices of the Feuerhand storm lantern and LED lantern. Both lanterns are manufactured in Germany and carefully assembled by hand from 36 individual parts. High-quality materials, precise craftsmanship, and reliable quality have defined Feuerhand since 1893. The new prices help us maintain this standard in the future.
