We strive to process your Feuerhand order as quickly as possible at our location in Magdeburg and dispatch it for delivery. For deliveries of the ordered goods within Germany, this takes approximately 1–3 working days after receipt of the order. Since 1989, the Feuerhand Baby Special 276 hurricane lantern has been manufactured as the sole model according to the original design principle as an open cold-air system.

Safety is always our top priority—not only when you use our products. With regard to the demand for factory tours, we unfortunately also have to carefully weigh the safety and insurance risks involved. We are therefore unable to offer public tours of the Feuerhand premises and production facilities.

The quality of Feuerhand products is what sets our brand apart. We only put products on the market that are flawless and meet the usual standards for first-quality goods. Therefore, there is no factory outlet for Feuerhand products. Since the Feuerhand brand has been part of Petromax GmbH since 2014, however, you can get an impression of our product range at our location in Magdeburg. In our Feuerhand showroom, you can browse, touch our products, take an in-depth look at all the available lantern colors, discover our stainless steel fire pits, and, of course, purchase all our products. If your lantern has a light film of oil on it or appears to be leaking in some places, it can often seem as though the storm lantern is defective or leaking. It is important to know that your storm lantern Baby Special 276 is an open system. It provides you with reliable, even light, particularly because of this open operating principle. This so-called cold-air system continuously supplies your storm lantern with oxygen. This keeps the flame alive and, thanks to its open design, your lantern produces a bright light. If your lantern feels oily in some places, this is not an indication that your storm lantern is defective. In most cases, you can easily fix this yourself. Possible causes of your lantern leaking may include:

- overfilling the tank
- too much movement and changing positions
- temperature fluctuations
- a wick that has been turned out too far

Since 1989, our storm lantern manufactory in northern Germany has produced exclusively the Baby Special 276 model. The focus of our spare parts production is also on the Baby Special 276. For this Feuerhand storm lantern, you will find spare parts and accessories such as globes, burners, and wicks in our shop.

The storm lantern is known and loved worldwide, but it originated in Germany. The Feuerhand storm lantern has been produced in Germany since 1893, and that is still the case today. At our production facility in northern Germany, the lantern model Baby Special 276 is still manufactured according to the same principle. Then as now, the Feuerhand lantern impresses with its outstanding quality and functionality, spreading its warm white light wherever people come together in a relaxed atmosphere.

As of August 1, 2026, we have adjusted the prices of the Feuerhand storm lantern and LED lantern. Both lanterns are manufactured in Germany and carefully assembled by hand from 36 individual parts. High-quality materials, precise craftsmanship, and reliable quality have defined Feuerhand since 1893. The new prices help us maintain this standard in the future.
